The Nigeria Ministers of Finance manages Federal Government of Nigeria finances. The Nigeria Ministers of Finance involves in controlling and monitoring revenues and spendings of the Federal Government. The Nigeria Ministers of Finance are appointed the President with approval and consent of the Senate. The Minister of Finance is sometime assisted by the Minister of State for Finace. A senior civil servant acts as Permanent Secretary of the Minister of Minister of Finance. The Permanent Secretary assist the Minister who is a Cabinet member of the President. The Ministry of Finance oversees several parastatals and agencies.  Apart from these, the Federal Ministry of Finance also make policies on taxation, tariffs, fiscal management, preparing of the nation’s annual budget, managing federal debt, regulating of capital market, preparing of annual accounts for ministries, departments, agencies, and so on.
