Obasanjo Cabinet from 2003 to 2007 facts you must know:
THIRD TERM AGENDA
Olusegun Obasanjo was embroiled in a controversy regarding his “Third Term Agenda”, a plan to change the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria so that he could serve third term, four year term as a president. This resulted in political media uproar in Nigeria. The bill was not passed by the National Assembly. After Chief Olusegun Obasanjo left office he told Channels Television in an exclusive interview that he never requested for tenure elongation.
Lastly,
Obasanjo made frequent changes to his cabinet of Federal Ministers and Ministers of State during his two term in office as democratically elected president of Federal Republic of Nigeria. He split or merged some ministries. He made major cabinet reshuffle in June, 2000, January 2001 and dissolved his cabinet in 2003. He appointed another sets of Ministers in July 2003. He also appointed 12 new Ministers on December 2004.
