1. Blend 2 fresh Garlic pods ( Tafarnuwa in Hausa; Alubosa ayu in Yoruba; Ayuu in Igbo) with Carrots. Add little water and drink immediately after preparation. It is effective toothache home remedies. Do it twice a day.
2. Fagara Zanthoxyloides / Zanthoxylum Zanthoxyloides (Candle wood, Prickly Ash in English; Orin ata in Yoruba; Ujo in Urhobo; Fasakohiri in Fulani; Ughoghon in Benin; Atako in Itsekiri; Korokumo in Ijaw) Prepare tea decoction of this plant root. Drink 200 ml of the tea infusion when it is lukewarm. Drink it slowly and do it twice in a day for 3 days for toothache home remedies.
3. Prepare Cucumber juice by using a cucumber that is at room temperature. Add 1 pinch of Cayenne pepper (Apoko eeke in Idoma; Ilufemi, Ata ijosin Yoruba; Ose oyinbo in Igbo; Barkono in Hausa) and 1 pinch of Turmeric (Ohuboboch, Nwandumo in Igbo; Atale pupa in Yoruba; Iblue in Urhobo; Kurkur, Gangamau in Hausa; Iblue in Urhobo; Gigir in Tiv) Mix them together and drink immediately after preparation. Do it twice daily. It is effective home remedy for toothache.
4. Make a paste of Turmeric add 2 drops of Peppermint essential oil and 1 tablespoon of either coconut oil or olive oil. Apply the paste on the affected tooth for toothache home remedies.
5. Phyllanthus Niruri / Phyllanthus Amarus (Ehinbisowo, Eyinolobe in Yoruba; Geeron tsuntsaaye in Hausa; Eyinkonwa, Ngwu, Buchi oro in Igbo; Iyeke in Urhobo; Oyomokeso amanke edem in Efik; Stone breaker in English) Chew some fresh with fresh Garlic pods. Make sure it liquid is in contact with the painful part of the gum at least three hours for 3 days for toothache home remedies.

9. Lime (Osan wewe, Oronbo in Yoruba; Ekpe nkirisi in Igbo; Evwe in Urhobo; Lemu tsami in Hausa) Cut lime in piece(s). Bite in to it so that it will release some juice on the sore tooth.
10. Cinnamon (Kirfa in Hausa; Oloorun in Yoruba) contains antimicrobial and analgesic properties that help to numb teeth and gums. Mix Cinnamon powder together with Organic pure honey (Zmanu in Igbo; Dorawa in Hausa; Oyin igan, Oyin gidi in Yoruba). Apply it on the sore tooth and gums.
Or: Put 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon powder in 150 ml lukewarm water mix with 1 tablespoon of organic pure honey. Strain and drink when it is lukewarm. Do it twice in a day for toothache home remedies.
11. Licorice (Omi-sin-misin in Yoruba) contains compound known as licorisoflavan. It is effective in hindering the growth of bacteria that causes cavities.
