2. MIMOSA PUDICA ( Touch me not plant, sensitive plant in English; Enada abapa olutu kla in Idoma; Aluro in Hausa; Ewe patamon, Ewe padimon in Yoruba; Kpakochuku, Kparochuku in IgboObtain some Mimosa Pudica fresh leaves. Boil in a cup of 250 ml water for 10 minutes. Strain and drink at night before bed time. Do it for 2 weeks for insomnia treatments.

3. NEPETA CAPETARIA (Catnip in English; Egba owo opolo in Yoruba) Eating and drinking of Catnip will strengthen the immune system of those battling with insomnia. Drink a cup of Catnip tea decoction before bedtime at night.

10. GRAPE FRUIT JUICE ( inabi in Hausa; Rodo rodo in Yoruba) contains tryptophan the chemical associated with becoming sleepy. Take a glass cup of fresh Grape juice before bedtime at night.

11. TIGER NUTS (Akiausa in Igbo; imu-mu-mu in Yoruba; Aya in Hausa; Opu opia in Igala) regular consumption of fresh Tiger nuts helps to calm body, thereby solving the problem of insomnia.

12. EPSOM (Magnesium Sulphate) For insomnia treatments add 1 tablespoon of Epsom salt to your bath water and bath with it before bed time for 3 days. After that, avoid it completely for 1 week. Now do it twice in a week.

Include this fruit in your diet. After eating the fruit pulp always eat the skin. Always eat the skin also because it is the medicinal part of it.

16. AVOCADO (Eso pia in Yoruba; Orumwu in Bini; Ube oyinbo, Ube beke in Igbo; Piya in Hausa; Eban mbakara in Efik) this fruit contains magnesium that calm your nerves and make you sleep at night. Include Avocado in your diet.

17. CHAMOMILE : is known as sleep tea that contains soothing and relaxing properties. Put 4 Chamomile leaves in 300 ml water. Allow it to boil for 10 minutes. Strain and drink when it is lukewarm. Do it morning and before bedtime at night. Or: Pour 2 tablespoons of Chamomile flowers in a cup of water. Prepare tea decoction of it. When it is lukewarm, drink slowly before bedtime at night.

18. CHAMOMILE ESSENTIAL OIL:  Add 4 to 5 drops of Chamomile essential oil in your bath water and take bath with it every day before bedtime.

19. FENUGREEK (idooma in Idoma; Ewedu in Yoruba; Hulba in Hausa; Kerenkeren, Ahenhea in Igbo) blend fresh fenugreek leaves in water. Add 1 pinch of Black Pepper and 1 tablespoon of organic pure honey to 200m of the blended Fenugreek and drink. Do it twice daily for insomnia treatments.

20. LETTUCE: When you break or cut lettuce leaves, you will see fluid known as lactucarium. Lactucarium has relaxing properties that induces sleep.
